The homeowners wanted a vacation home with a modern feel. Clean furniture lines, geometric prints and a neutral color palette were key ingredients to the modern feel of this home. The foyer makes a statement with a checkerboard pattern of brown and white marble tiles.

The walls below the chair rail were painted dark brown to contrast with the floor and a lighter beige tone was used above to keep the area feeling light and airy. The large wood dining table has a contemporary metal base and was chosen because of its warmth and ability to seat a minimum of 8 -10 guests. A contemporary patterned rug was used to provide the pattern and color in the room. The great room fabrics combine beige tones with touches of black and grey to play off of the tones from the kitchen.

A geometric rug combined with over sized cocktail table are the statement pieces in this room. Two contemporary leather and chrome chairs blend nicely with the sleek contemporary look of the horizontal fireplace. The master bedroom has a sleek, contemporary version of a sleigh bed with rich wood tones. The nightstands have a shagreen texture which blends nicely with the green/grey paint color on the walls. The owners study was painted in a rich charcoal color which works nicely with the grey stained furniture. A white sofa was selected to provide a stark contrast with the wall color.
The guest bedrooms on the upper level continue the neutral color scheme from the main floor- each providing a nice environment for relaxing. The homeowners will enjoy entertaining their friends and family in their contemporary beach home.
